Fatima Sana Shaikh is an Indian actress and model who made her acting debut as a child Artist in the movie Chachi 420 with Kamal Hassan in 1997. She has featured in several films as well as TV series but she became famous from Amir Khan’s Movie Dangal in which she played the role of Geeta Phogat.

Fatima Sana Shaikh was born on 11th January 1992 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India and was brought up in Mumbai. Her father, Vipan Sharma is a Hindu and belongs to Jammu, whereas her mother, Raj Tabbasum is a Muslim lady from Srinagar.
As she belongs to a Brahmin family from her father side but she follows Islam and hence she is a Muslim. Her Home town is Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Fatima Sana Shaikh was fond of acting since her childhood and always wanted to work in films. Her dreams came true when she was only five years old. In 1997 she was selected for Child Artist role in the Movie Chachi 420.
She played this role amazingly and was appreciated by viewers. She focused on her studies after this movie but again in 2001, she was casted for her second film “One 2 Ka 4”. Beside acting she was studying also. After seven years she played a role of Zoya in the Indian Drama film Tahaan.
In 2009, she joined ZEE TV show “Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo” as well as she appeared in another TV show” Ladies Special’. Beside this she tried her best for to get casted for different Bollywood movies like Bittoo Boss, Table No. 21, and Akaash Vaani but she failed. After giving too much auditions She became so dishearten and was thinking to leave acting and to start working as a cinematographer. But the same year she got offers from Telugu film Industry
In 2015 she was selected for the best and highest grossing movie “Dangal”. She played a leading role of Geeta in the movie This movie pushed of her career forward and she came into the limelight instantly.
